From sexual abuse to cruel deaths, for revenge, greed and other reasons, most committed by men against women, boys and girls, there are also some male victims. They have shocked Colombia, but they continue to happen.

Of the more than 7,000 homicides registered in Colombia in the last eight years, of which more than 400 femicides, several have generated repudiation, indignation and have moved the entire country to show solidarity and accompany the families of the victims and to cry out for justice even in streets.
Several of these cases have been resolved, in part, by social pressure so that they are not forgotten.

The most recent case that this week had had much of the country on edge, beyond what many have called a ‘media show’, for what was suspected: a family member involved, apparently for money and envy.
The brother and son of the victims, would have planned the crime for at least four months, executed it in November 2021 and accepted the charges on January 18 in the midst of a tense and long indictment hearing.
Yhonier Rodolfo Leal was sent to jail this Thursday.
He put his mother and brother to sleep, stabbed them, practically tortured his brother to force him to write a goodbye letter to make it look like a suicide-homicide. And he forced him to give him the bank account and cell phone password.
All this, according to the Prosecutor’s Office is evidenced and accuses him of homicide.
The Ortiz Sisters
Although the case was being handled with sadness in Valle del Cauca, it spread even outside the country, when details of the double crime became known.
Maribel and her 14-year-old sister were murdered by a ‘suitor’ of the former and two other accomplices. There are two captured.
It happened on September 18, 2020, when Maribel, 21, and her sister Nicol, 14, went out for an afternoon “for a walk” with a friend, and that man, along with another accomplice, ended up killing them on a road between La Cumbre and Restrepo, Valle, and a month after the crime, they were captured.
They would have been sent as passengers in the back, there was no way to escape when they stopped at a dark, lonely spot.
The minor was shot at close range.
His older sister tried to run, call for help, and the gunshot wounds were to her back. They left them dying on the road and only the marks of the tires remained, but they were particular marks, there, there was already a track.

Yuliana Samboni
The 6-year-old girl, who had come to Bogotá with her family looking for a better opportunity and fleeing violence, ended up in the hands of the architect Rafael Uribe Noguera, who kidnapped, raped and murdered her.
Uribe Noguera is sentenced to more than 50 years in prison, without rights to reduced sentence benefits because he was punished with the Rosa Elvira Celis Law, for femicide.
Other cases were of Patent Leather, in Garzón Huila.
Charol Lisbeth Samboní Pérez was 9 years old, she wanted to be a police officer or a nurse, but her life ended abruptly when a 13-year-old minor raped and murdered her. It happened in 2019.
He himself confessed what he did to the Police for Children and Adolescents. Although many doubted and it has always been pointed out that he went to cover up his father.
The community wanted to lynch him and they had to arrest him.
the of Emily Suleyni was 11 years old when a predator attacked her.
She was reported missing and 24 hours later on May 15, 2019, she was found murdered a few meters from her home. Emily Suleyni Rivera Barrero left school for her house but did not arrive.
The girl was kidnapped from the Asoma Sol neighborhood, in Santander de Quilichao, Cauca. But close to her, they had left her body in a sack.
Another case was in Angie Lorena Nieto, which occurred in the village of El Hijoa, in the rural area of Barranca de Upía (Meta). He was 12 years old.
She was a victim of sexual abuse and murdered during the night of December 31, 2018. Her body was found on January 1, 2019, covered by a blanket, tied at the feet and hands, reports EL TIEMPO.
The murderer, Pastor Gómez Vaca, a neighbor and friend of the girl’s family. He confessed to the heinous crime.

On September 28, 2018, at Fundación, Adolfo Arrieta García raped, hanged and then threw the girl’s body into a wood stove that he lit in the patio of his home.
“I apologize to the mother, the father and the relatives of that girl (…). I didn’t know what I did”said the man who also had children.
No conviction has been handed down for this subject so far.

In March 2019 -a critical year especially for minors- two children and a police officer in Bogotá died in their home located in Puente Aranda.
What was investigated is that the woman, Gloria Aideé Huertas, attacked her partner, Iván Arturo Zorro Penagos, when he was asleep on a sofa, then went after his children in the room where they slept.
She was injured, but survived.
Once sentenced to 50 years in prison, El Buen Pastor has said in interviews from prison that she was not guilty. That she was her partner and that she defended herself.

In 2019, a piece of news began to gain space in the Colombian press, due to a call for help that came from Chile, the Ojeda family was looking for a former police officer who had come with her boyfriend, a Colombian, to live in the country.
Ilse Amory had left all of Chile to follow her partner: Juan Valderrama.
A frantic search began, the photo of the foreigner appeared in all the media, and he put up posters, went out to walk the streets, to ask through the media that whoever knew about her notify her, but he knew, she was dead and buried in a ride in Bucaramanga.
A few days later, the murder was discovered, he denied it and his capture took a few days.
Finally, they captured him, he was a former police officer and even had mental problems, his defense attorney alleged. Still, he was sentenced to prison for more than 30 years.
The other case was that of a young student from the Seine, who unleashed marches to protest asking for a “just sentence for the murderer.”
The victim, the adolescent Andrea Romero Cabarcas, a Venezuelan who had come to the country to seek a better opportunity in life.

In March 2019, He was sentenced to 37 years in prison. He was sent to the maximum security prison located in Valledupar, Cesar.

Although the terrible femicide of which Rosa Elvira Celis was the victim in Bogotá occurred in May 2012, her case led to harsher sentences in the country for this crime.
Based on her crime, Law 1761 of 2015 emerged, which typifies femicide.
Rosa Elvira was brutally attacked, raped and tortured by a colleague with whom she was validating high school. Her subject, Javier Velasco, took her to the National Park and injured her.
