The Spanish airline had planned to increase its frequency of flights with Uruguay from June 2023 but brought forward its decision due to increased demand

The Spanish airline Iberia announced that it will increase to seven weekly frequenciess its flights between Montevideo and Madrid from next January 1st. Initially, andIt was expected that the daily frequencies will begin to be implemented from June 2023.
Due to an increase in demand, the Spanish airline will fly to the Carrasco Airport once a day from next January 1st. This schedule plans to be throughout 2023, according to the Cirium platform.
Iberia currently operates five weekly flights from Montevideo with departures on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 1:10 pm and arrival at 6:15 the following day. Departures from Madrid are on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 0.35.
These flights are operated with Airbus aircraft A330-200with capacity for 288 passengers, 19 in business class and 269 in tourist.
