HIGÜEY.- The diver Carlos Gabriel Solano Castillo died this Wednesday afternoon in a health center, after inhaling gas with toxic air from his diving equipment, which adds up to four fishermen who have died in such circumstances in the last five months in the Altagracia province.
He was considered one of the most agile divers in the area, who went to the depths of the sea to look for good-sized fish.
Solano Castillo died several days after toxic gas was lodged in the lungs of his diving team, which aggravated his respiratory system.
With the death of Solano Castillo, there are four deaths from the same cause in the Eastern region in recent months.
He was an expert in deep-sea fishing and in the sale of fish and shellfish in Higüey.
