The National Confederation of Municipal Health Officials (Confusam) called a national strike for next Tuesday, November 15, in rejection of the recently approved 2023 budget for primary care.
The group of officials demands that the amount per capita increase from $9,618 to $10,135. However, the proposal of the Joint Budget Commission of the Congress proposed an increase up to $10,000 per patient. “It seems to us that although there is progress around the original figure for the per capita increase in Primary Health, the new proposal put forward by the Executive is still a figure that does not yet represent the true increase in costs and associated inflation. to the year 2022, which according to the central bank is projected at 12% “, they pointed out in a public statement.
And they added: “Our national organization, which brings together more than 50,000 officials of Primary Health Care, calls on its bases to mobilize us through a national strike on November 15 and denounce the lack of budget , demand an increase to 10,135 pesos and march in each region of Chile that day”.
