The argument for the rationing is that there are failures in the conduction of gas for the generation plants, after the failure in the main pipeline of the José Francisco Bermúdez Gas Pipeline of the Northeast Gas System (Sinorgas)
The states of Nueva Esparta and Sucre remain under an electricity rationing plan, after Corpoelec announced that PDVSA is carrying out repairs on the pipeline of the Northeast Gas System in Santa Fe, Maturincito, which feeds the thermoelectric plants.
The Electrical System Contingency Plan announced by the Ministry of Electric Power, consists of rotating rationing every six hours, in the 10 municipalities of Margarita and also Coche Island, Villalba municipality.
However, it was announced that the load management conditions have increased for at least two hours more than indicated, after the gas delivery decreased considerably, a fact that compromises the operation of the plant.

The argument for the rationing is that there are failures in the conduction of gas for the generation plants, after the failure in the main pipeline of the José Francisco Bermúdez Gas Pipeline of the Northeast Gas System (Sinorgas).
A note published by The Pin points out that sources revealed to the media that the supply of gas that feeds the thermo-generating plants on the island reached the minimum limits to be able to keep them on.
The note highlights that the situation worsened this Sunday, after a Controlled Shutdown of Unit 02 of the Juan Bautista Arismendi Plant in Margarita was carried out. Which implies that the rationing plan increases to eight hours depending on the temperatures and the demand for consumption.
PDVSA personnel are on site carrying out recovery work on the gas pipeline, but if the weather conditions continue to be adverse, the progress of the work could be delayed due to rain.
