“We are here ready to march in favor of the autonomy of @INEMexico and with it the right to democracy and plurality. Not one step back!” the teacher posted on social media.
The PAN deputy and president of the Chamber of Deputies, Santiago Creel, also attended the demonstration, who declared that, if after this march López Obrador does not dialogue with the opposition, his historical legacy will be clouded.
“Dialogue, president, face to face and face to face,” he launched. “He wanted to look like Juárez and he is ending up being a Huerta, a Huerta of democracy, a betrayal.”
From an early hour, former President Fox announced on Twitter that he would join the demonstration: “Ready and uniformed. It’s still time. See you at the Angel!” he shared.
Hours later he was seen at the march accompanied by Marko Cortés, president of the PAN, and Senator Julián Rementería del Puerto.
“What we show today in the street, we are going to support in Congress. Let them listen to him at the National Palace: #ElINENoSeToca !” Cortes said.
