The general secretary of the Trade Union of Food Industry Workers (STIA) of Córdoba, Héctor Morcillourged this Saturday the business sector to comply with the Fair Prices program “to guarantee social peace”, referring to the agreement of 1,700 products announced this Friday by the Minister of EconomySergio Massa.
“We ask you to please comply with it to guarantee social peace because the increases are already intolerable, you cannot continue in a situation of price re-marking, without reference prices or limits,” Morcillo said this Saturday, addressing the sector, in statements to National Radio.
For the leader of STIA Córdoba, Fair Prices “undoubtedly has to be part of a commitment and a social and business responsibility.”
“The entire chain, the business and marketing sector, today is going to have access to certain advantages that the State is going to give it, with which it is time for them to put part of that social responsibility and comply with this program,” he pointed out. Black pudding
between those advantages, he mentioned a “compensation by the State, which will allow companies to enter the foreign exchange mechanism for importing of the consumption necessary for the activity to continue operating”.
Likewise, Morcillo highlighted the commitment of the 16 unions that produce all the food in the country in compliance with the recent price agreement.
“We have been working with the Secretary of Commerce, the Minister of Economy Sergio Massa, setting out our view on the problem of prices,” he said.
Along these lines, Morcillo added that from his place they had “reflected the concentration of the sectors; the need for the chain is controlled from production until it reaches the consumer; production, processing, marketing, distributionbecause everywhere there was a festival of prices and constant markup,” he said.
