The Government confirmed this Saturday the creation of the compensation program for small and medium producers of soybeans and corn who did not enter the Export Increase Program, with funds from the extra collection of the so-called “soy dollar”.
The Economy Minister Sergio Massasigned the resolution that creates the compensation program for small and medium producers of soybeans and corn that did not enter the Export Increase Program, the Ministry of Agriculture reported this Saturday.
“We are fulfilling the commitment that the fund raised by the soybean export promotion program returns to the agricultural sector to generate an increase in our production and exports for next year, but also to protect and benefit the sectors who could not participate in the program because they are the smallest producers and the first to sell,” said Massa.
Measure will benefit small and medium producers with a contribution of up to $6,500 per hectare of soybeans and $20,000 per hectare of corn declared; and the program may allocate up to $15,000 million to the established benefits, subject to budgetary availability of the Financial Administrative Service, Agriculture said in a statement.
For his part, the Secretary of Agriculture, Juan José Bahillostated that “the fund raised by the Export Increase Program returns to the countryside to benefit small and medium-sized producers with a contribution that represents 40% of the investment they should make in seeds and fertilizers, to help them increase planting of the next agricultural campaign in a million hectares”.
In mid-October, Bahillo had presented the Strengthening Plan for Small and Medium Producers to the authorities of the member entities of the Liaison Table.
The Plan had been previously announced by the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, at the end of September and will consist of financing those farmers who have not participated in the Export Increase Program (PIE) and have marketed up to 85% of their corn holdings. and/or soybeans, with the aim of “increasing planting by more than 300,000 hectares for next year” that would guarantee “sustaining the levels in terms of volume that Argentina can export in 2023.”
Will be able Access the program for all soybean and/or corn producers registered in the Simplified Agricultural Information System (SISA), and have declared in the SISA -until last September 30 inclusive- for the 2021/2022 campaign an area destined to soybean cultivation of up to 400 hectares, and/or an area destined to corn cultivation of up to 100 hectares.
Likewise, the producers interested in receiving the benefit must have the information corresponding to their stock/stocks presented in the “Confirmed” status in the SISA and expressly request the benefit within a period of 15 administrative business days after the resolution is published in the Official Gazette.
Once the established term has elapsed, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries will provide the Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP) with the list of requesting producers, and the latter will provide the list and information corresponding to each of those who meet the established requirements. .
According to the information provided by the AFIP, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries will approve the list of beneficiaries and will determine the corresponding benefits.
