The national deputy and president of the Buenos Aires Justicialist Party, Máximo Kirchner, asked the militancy this Saturday to stop “going backwards” to give themselves “the opportunity to dream again” and end “with the possibility”, by leading the closing of the IX National Health Meeting at the Educational Pole of the Faculty of Bromatology of the National University of Entre Ríos.
“Each one of us is sad to have the country as we have it, especially when we learned that it was a lie that you couldn’t. We understood, we saw and we were able to recover our dreams and hope and get out of that place where our self-esteem had been broken. Argentina can and it doesn’t bother me to say yes it can. I am not going to let them steal our words any more”, Kirchner stated in one of the most heartfelt passages of his speech.
“The change is us, those who can are us and us. We have always done it, comrades, stop going back, let’s give ourselves the opportunity to dream again, let’s put an end to the possibility; let us dream, let us incorporate more sectors of our society”Maximo Kirchner
The deputy was the last to speak in the central act of the day that brought together more than 6,000 health workers and also included the participation of the mayor of Gualeguaychú, Martín Piaggio; the national deputy Daniel Gollán; the Minister of Health of the province of Chaco, Carolina Centeno and her pair from Buenos Aires, Nicolás Kreplak.
“The change is us, those who can are us and us. We have always done it, comrades, stop going back, let’s give ourselves the opportunity to dream again, let’s put an end to the possibility; let’s dream, let’s incorporate more sectors of our society”, he remarked.
The legislator considered about Congress that “this type of meeting is very important for anyone who aspires to govern, but then the candidacies of different people appear, who can have media impact, economic support from different powers, but behind them there are only canned policies and without territory“.
“The work that is done here had to do with the way in which the pandemic was dealt with in some places,” he pointed out.
Along these lines, he considered that “doing politics is thinking about things beyond our present and reality.”
“When we talk about debt maturities, we do so because we believe that what (former President Mauricio) Macri did was criminal. Where do you think those resources will come from to face those debts? The loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for health was not used”Maximo Kirchner
In addition, the head of the Buenos Aires PJ referred to the integration of the health system with the purpose of “designing, completing and thinking to give answers to everyone.”
In the framework of the debates around the budget, he indicated that “the word spending always appears: reducing education, health and safety, which is really about investment.”
“When we talk about debt maturities, we do so because we believe that what (former President Mauricio) Macri did was criminal. Where do you think those resources will come from to face those debts? The loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for health was not used,” he observed.
About the end of his his speech, He called for “claw, head, a lot of heart” to recover the country that was built between 2003 and 2015, during the governments of Néstor Kirchner and Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.
For her part, the Chaco minister stated that “the discussions initiated in the congress are always followed in each of the places” and pointed out that it is “important to discuss the model of care, financing and how we manage.”
To its turn, Gollanindicated that in this space they conceive health “as a right and that on the other side they want the disorganized health system because that is where the logic of profit and inequity prevails.”
“We need to generate a huge critical mass of health thinkers who can understand what is happening and why it is happening. They are not going to come back anymore because an organized people is going to win the elections in 2023 and the integrated health system is going to become a reality,” assured the former Minister of Health in relation to Together for Change (JxC).
For its part, Kreplak He reviewed the nine previous congresses and highlighted that the health workers present are the ones who were at the forefront of organizing “the largest vaccination campaign in our history” during the coronavirus pandemic.
“They are the ones who put their breasts at the worst time. They did not hide, they organized and led the destiny of our people so that today we are here and can guarantee for our national and popular project the health force capable of transforming the things that our country and our people need”, pointed out the Buenos Aires Minister of Health .
