One deceased, one injured, landslides, affected homes, more than 30 communities without electricity and two incommunicado is the balance of the rains that occurred this Friday, November 11 in Trujillo, reported the governor of the entity, Gerardo Márquez.
While in Táchira, the collapse of roads in the La Cúspide sector, Michelena municipality, north of Táchira, keeps more than 200 families and producers in the area incommunicado; and in Mérida the Tucaní and Mucujepe rivers overflowed.
“I regret to report the death of Mr. Jesús Manzanilla, 64, and another injured person, due to the collapse of a slope in the Morón sector (Valera municipality),” the governor of Trujillo reported through his Instagram account.

In the same publication, Márquez offered a balance of the damage caused by the rainfall, which affected at least six municipalities in the Andean state.
“Today (November 11) it has rained very hard in a large part of the state, causing several damages, especially in Valera (capital of the entity), and our teams from the Integrated Risk Management System are deployed, as well as the entire State. Emergency Major,” he said.
Flooded housing and isolated areas
He explained that at least 30 areas of Trujillo state were left without electricity supply; while the San Antonio and Las Travesías sectors of the Carvajal municipality show flooding in homes and their main streets.
“There is no passage on the Betijoque – Sábana de Mendoza road” – a section that leads to the Pan-American axis, he explained.
Regarding the municipality of Pampanito, Márquez reported partial damage to a house due to a landslide. There was also the overflow of a stream in the Alto Prado sector, mainly impacting the road. In areas such as Negra Matea and Bajada del Río, the roads are clogged with sediment.

Tucaní and Mucujepe rivers overflowed
The 22nd zone command of the National Guard in Mérida reported through its Twitter account that the Tucaní river (Caracciolo Parra Olmedo municipality) overflowed in several of its sections, cutting off communication towards the Pan-American highway, at the height of the Tucaní bridge.

Through social networks, residents of the Los Curos sector, in the Alberto Adriani municipality, reported that they were affected by the fluvial Mucujepe River.
From October to November they were registered in the country at least 73 deceased as a result of the rains. Nail 6,000 homes were affected in October for a total of 14,000 affected throughout the country since April 1, when the rainy season began.
