Archbishop’s Palace of Caracas reopened

Rehabilitan este sábado el Palacio Arzobispal de Caracas

This Saturday the Archbishop’s Palace in Caracas was reopened, as reported by the mayor of the Bolivarian Libertador municipality, A/J Carmen Meléndez.

Through his account on the social network Twitter @gestionperfecta, Meléndez highlighted that this beautiful infrastructure now has renovated spaces, which are part of the history and culture of our capital city.

In addition, the municipal president stressed that the Sacred Museum of Caracas, located in the Historic Center of the City, was also rehabilitated. “Together with ecclesiastical authorities, we opened these beautiful and emblematic spaces, which combine religion and sacred art.”

He described that the venue is a true beauty, which makes the residents of the capital proud for promoting religious tourism, as well as religious and artistic training.

The Archbishop’s Palace in the block of the main square is one of the symbols that unites the civil and ecclesiastical powers since the distribution of the grid by the founders of the Hispanic overseas towns and cities. Until the Caracas earthquake of 1967 it was the residence of the Caracas prelate and the headquarters of the curia services.
