The Michoacan politician commented that his party will be aware of the way in which the other opposition political parties cast their vote during the discussion of the electoral reform in the Congress of the Union.
“We’ll see how the parties that call themselves opponents vote at the moment of truth, we’ll be watching. But today, friends, what I want to tell you is that our safe alliance, our safe alliance is going to be with civil society, which is raising its voice more and more,” she said.
“The most important and symbolic battle that we will face is coming and that is to stop the attempt to disappear, weaken or control the National Electoral Institute and the Courts, for this reason, with absolute conviction and without hesitation, we endorse Mexico that once again it will have National Action. We say it clearly: the INE is not touched, ”he stressed.
Before 1,969 delegates and 28 of 32 state delegations, as well as governors, federal and local legislators gathered at the City Banamex Center, Marko Cortés insisted that the INE is not touched and democracy is not weakened.
During his inaugural speech, Cortés thanked the governors, mayors and deputies, senators, for resisting the pressures and offers of the federal government to vote for regressive reforms.
“Friends, you have no idea how much pressure our governors, our mayors and deputies received because in Mexico there is no longer a Secretary of the Interior, he has already become a rattle, a political operator and he is not building agreements, but rather dividing the country,” he said.
During the meeting, the PAN members will renew their National Council, which in due course will define the alliances and electoral platforms for the elections of 23 and 24, in addition to some candidacies, such as the presidential one. In addition, it will approve its statutes and Political Action Program.
