The Nicaraguan Institute of Energy (INE) and the Ministry of Energy and Mines reported this Saturday that the average price of a gallon of superior and regular gasoline in Nicaragua, as well as diesel and gas for cooking, will remain above 5 dollars during a week starting tomorrow Sunday. The cost of fuel will not present variation.
During the next seven days in Nicaragua, the cost of superior gasoline, used in light cars, will remain at 5.13 dollars, and that of regular gasoline, applied in old-fashioned and off-road cars, will continue at 5 dollars; while diesel, used in cargo and collective transport, will remain at 4.52 dollars per gallon (3.78 liters).
The prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), which will also remain frozen, depend on the size of the tank and the department (province) where they are sold, Nicaraguan authorities confirmed.

This is the thirty-second consecutive week in which the Nicaraguan authorities will keep fuel prices frozen in the Central American country.
The owners of vehicles that run on diesel will have savings equivalent to 0.54 dollars per gallon, reported the INE, which did not disclose the amount of savings per gallon in gasoline.
Fuel prices for transportation and food preparation have remained frozen in Nicaragua since the beginning of last April.
The Executive has reported that, by assuming 100% of the increases in the prices of fuels and liquefied cooking gas, the State of Nicaragua disburses between 4 and 6 million dollars weekly.
Nicaragua has a fund of 200 million dollars as part of a line of credit of up to 800 million dollars, arranged by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) to finance a regional support program in the face of the global rise in prices of fuels.
The Nicaraguan authorities also ordered stability in the price of liquefied petroleum gas, used in Nicaragua for food preparation, whose cost has remained unchanged since the beginning of last April and varies depending on the size of the tank and the city where it is sold. .
