Women or adolescents who are victims of any type of violence can receive free care and containment in public hospitals. The most frequent doubts about the procedure and the applied protocol are answered in this article.

Orange November is called this month, used to talk about violence against women and girls. Unfortunately, many of the victims remain silent and avoid seeking help for fear of retaliation.

However, health facilities are prepared to provide physical and psychological care to victims. Here are some of the most frequently asked questions.

WHAT THEY ASK FOR DURING THE CONSULTATION

Before registering the data on the form, the patient will be informed that the consultation is completely confidential. Consent for physical examinations and other evaluations will be requested at all times.

YOU CAN COME WITH YOUR CHILDREN

No mother will be separated from her children, but will receive support and give shelter and security to children.

IF THE VICTIM IS AN ADOLESCENT

When the victim is a minor, a protection system is activated that includes specialists. All rights will be respected.

SEXUAL VIOLENCE

In addition to support and containment, the victim will receive VH-STI prophylaxis within 72 hours of the event.

Emergency care is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year at any health facility.
