The chief prosecutor of the Chubut city of Comodoro Rivadavia, Marcelo Crettónaffirmed this Friday that “there are 42 complaints made by parents” against a music teacher for alleged cases of sexual abuse registered in kindergarten 406 where the teacher worked in rooms for 3, 4 and 5 years.
Crettón, in dialogue with the local press, maintained that “at the moment there are 42 relatives who filed the complaints related to the case, who spoke in three rounds and to whom the procedure was explained.”
The official from the Public Prosecutor’s Office explained that “we understand how sensitive the situation is for them, but the general procedure in these cases was explained to them, above all they were informed about what is established in the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the need to wait for the right times.”
The parents demanded the arrest of the teacher in response to the danger of flighta measure that the prosecution did not request before the judge, still waiting for the procedural steps to be completed and the complaints to be received.

Relatives of the allegedly abused boys made a camp last Thursday night in front of the Comodoro Rivadavia prosecutor’s office and then produced an intermittent roadblock in the access to that city, the most populous of Chubut, on the southeast of this district and head of the oil basin. There were also mobilizations in the central streets demanding justice.
The Chubut Education Workers’ Union (Atech), called a press conference to ensure that they are not “covering up anyone”, as they were accused “unfoundedly” and remarked: “We have nothing to hide because we understand and accompany parents throughout this painful process.
The union leaders assured that for that reason when the parents went to demonstrate at the union headquarters they let them pass “so they can see that the music teacher is not there” and that the accusation made on social networks “is false and part of a stigmatization of education workers”.
The first reported cases
The cases became known on Wednesday, when the parents of the educational community of kindergarten 406 in Comodoro Rivadavia staged a violent protest in front of the establishment, located in the 9 de Julio neighborhooddemanding that a teacher accused by children of alleged sexual abuse be removed from office and arrested.
The incidents included the intentional burning of the director’s vehicle that was parked in front of the elementary school, who was loudly repudiated for “not showing up and protecting that degenerate.”
JC, one of the mothers who gave her testimony to Télam, said that her 3-year-old daughter saw a cartoon that she related to the teacher, who “made them lie down” and touched their private parts.
According to the woman, who became one of the complainants, that testimony “was repeated, almost copied by the rest.”
The initial fury of the parents, with a “pueblada” format, was channeled until the formal complaints began to be filed during the last two days, adding up to 42, and it is not ruled out that they continue to appear more, since the indicated teacher fulfilled functions in other primary establishments.
The initial incidents included confrontations with the police, considering that the public force had to make a cordon to prevent the neighbors from trying to do “justice by their own hands.”
The situation reached the limit and was avoided by the presence of the prosecutor Andrea Rubio, who convinced the protesters to follow the institutional path and formally file the complaint, for which the women’s police station was made available.
