The representatives of the Association of Journalists of Santa Cruz and the Trade Union Federation of the Press expressed their discomfort and rejected the actions of the groups mobilized by the MAS and the Police, before the representatives of the Interinstitutional Census Committee, where they requested that they address the issue in the council this Sunday, since at least 19 journalists have been attacked during the days of the strike, mainly in the coverage of the mobilizations carried out by the masistas.

The president of the Association of Journalists of Santa Cruz, Roberto Méndez, indicated that on Saturday they will present the legal action against those responsible for the attacks on the teams of journalistsso that both the Prosecutor’s Office and the Police identify them.
“vWe are going to identify those responsible and the instigators, and we are going to initiate legal action tomorrow,” said Méndez, who explained that evidence has been collected showing those responsible for the events.

“We have colleagues with broken noses, with broken fingers, colleagues who suffered blows to the head and who were brutally assaulted. The feeling of fellow journalists is one of anger and annoyance and we denounce that the MAS does not want the press,” Montero said.
