Militants of the Polo Obrero Tendencia (PO-T) and the Teresa Rodríguez Movement (MTR-Histórica) carried out a total traffic cut on Avenida 9 de Julio hand to the south and in front of the Ministry of Social Development, in a protest with different social demands .
The protesters had gathered at 10 in the vicinity of Plaza Constitución, to then march to the headquarters of the social portfolio, located on Avenida 9 de Julio between Moreno and Avenida Belgrano, in CABA.
The protest was carried out “against economic adjustment”, “against the IMF budget” and “for the creation of genuine work”.
As reported in a press release, these Trotskyist sectors will also demand in the protest an “increase in the salaries of retirees” and a “reopening of the quotas to access the Enhance Work Program.”
The demonstration causes long delays for vehicular traffic on Avenida 9 de Julio, south of the City of Buenos Aires.
