The President of the Republic, Gustavo Petro, mentioned a benefit that he had promised during the campaign and in which more than 200,000 housewives in Colombian territory will benefit, to whom You will be awarded a $500,000 weekly bonus.
As announced by the president on his Twitter account, mothers who are heads of households will be the first to benefit from this subsidy, bearing in mind that this is one of the most important measures that the Government has taken to help these women who are in a vulnerable condition.

How to apply for the $500,000 subsidy for single mothers?
There are several requirements that must be met if the person wishes to acquire this bonus, which we reiterate, its main objective is to help mothers who are heads of households who live in poverty.
The first thing to keep in mind is that must not currently be receiving any other subsidy from the Government.
The applicant must belong to group A of the Sisbén. Likewise, she must be the head of the household and priority will be given to those women who have children under five years of age.

If the mother is immersed in programs such as Solidarity Income or Youth in Action, the Government will complete the amount until it reaches $500,000. To make the prescription, she must enter the Social Prosperity page and make the respective registration.
