MADRID, Spain.- Jorge Alberto Graverán, a Cuban reported missing since October 28 in Havana, was found dead in the capital’s Marianao municipality.
According to Graverán’s relatives reported to the independent media Cuban DNAwas found by “a local resident” in the vicinity of the Quibú river bridge, in the Zamora district.
The 51-year-old victim, known as “Ovid”, was “tied hand and foot and blindfolded,” he told DNA her sister, identified as Maria.
According to the information, last Monday the corpse was being analyzed by experts in Legal Medicine; although, according to Maria, the family has not been notified of an official investigation.
“They have not had the pleasure of informing me of anything, as I am their closest family [en Cuba], because my mom passed away three months ago. (…) You can understand how I feel and they continue to treat me like a stranger, they are not able to condole with my pain of having lost my mother and now my brother, ”said the woman.
Jorge A. Graverán, son of the deceased and resident in the United States, added that apparently “the body had no bruises” when they found it. And he considered that it is an alleged “kidnapping and warning”.
The son further explained: “Two days before the disappearance, on Wednesday, October 26, his ex-wife and he [su padre] they fought; she filed a complaint for mistreatment and he was arrested. My dad got out of jail on Thursday and on Friday he disappeared.” Just as he accused the Marianao authorities of “passivity” in clarifying the death of his father.
