FANB captured three individuals from the Las 3R gang with war material

Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), through Operation Roraima 2022, arrested three citizens who are members of the Las 3R criminal gang with war material and ammunition, who commit crimes of illegal mining, drug trafficking and human trafficking.

The information was released by head of the FANB Operational Command (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez through his account on the social network Twitter. In a message, Hernández Lárez specified that the FANB arrested “3 members of the Las 3R criminal gang in possession of weapons of war, communication equipment, ammunition, uniforms and other supplies.”

He also recalled that the FANB maintains a fierce fight against illegal mining, drug trafficking and human trafficking.

“In missions against illegal mining, drug trafficking and human trafficking in Operation Roraima 2022, FANB detained 3 members of the Las 3R criminal gang in possession of weapons of war, communication equipment, ammunition, uniforms and other supplies”, public.

FANB deployed at the borders

On the other hand, the Head of Ceofanb stressed that the FANB troops remain deployed in the Guayana regionwith the aim of eliminating illegal mining practices, with the premise of protecting the environment of the national territory.

As part of the operations, human skeleton remains were found in an open pit, located in Bolívar state.

“In the Sifontes municipality of Bolívar state, in intervention work on illegal mines, the FANB locates remains of human bones in an open pit,” said Hernández Lárez.

“The public official or public official who grants authorizing acts for the development of activities not allowed according to the land management plans in the beds and floodplains of rivers or other bodies of water, will be sanctioned with prison,” he said.
