The provincial prosecutor for Money Laundering, Richard Rojas, asked the Judiciary to issue 36 months of preventive detention to the Secretary General of Peru Libre, Vladimir Cerrón, for the alleged crimes of money laundering and criminal organization.
The request is made within the framework of the investigation into the financing of Peru Libre, investigations in which congressmen Waldemar Cerrón and Guido Bellido are also included.
Through a tweet, the Public Ministry also reported that the preparatory investigation against the former regional governor of Junín was formalized, a stage whose term will be 36 months.
Vladimir Cerrón feels “disappointed” in Pedro Castillo
Minutes before the request for preventive detention against him was announced, Vladimir Cerrón offered an interview to Canal N in which he claimed to feel “disappointed” in the government of President Pedro Castillo.
“In large part I feel disappointed (with the Government) because what has been promised to the people has not been implemented in the squares or in the rallies, streets or social networks. I believe that if we cannot do something that we have promised, we become an electoral scam,” he declared.
