The National Electricity Regulatory Entity (ENRE) filed charges against the company Edenor for $20 million for not reporting the events that led to power cuts to 2.3 million users on January 11, 14 and 15.
Through resolution 7, the ENRE formulated charges against the concessionaire Edenor for “having verified breaches of contractual obligations regarding the duty to inform immediately the events that affect its facilities throughout its concession area”.

On the other hand, the Regulatory Standards Application and Administration Area was instructed to carry out a technical analysis to determine the causes that led to the supply interruptions in the sessions, and verify compliance with the obligations and commitments assumed by the company.
With this technical analysis, the ENRE “will issue the pertinent sanctions and measures to prevent failures of this type or similar with the aim of minimizing the replacement times of the electrical energy supply,” they indicated from the agency.
