It is almost a fact that the friendly between the teams of Bolivia and Peru is not played at the Tahuichi Aguilera stadium, due to the civic strike that persists in the capital of Santa Cruz. The meeting is scheduled for November 19 and given the possibility of not reaching an agreement that ends the protest, a possible change of scenery is being studied.
The governor of the department of Chuquisaca, Damián Condori Herrera, sent a note to the Bolivian Football Federation (FBF) offering the homeland stadium in Sucre for the aforementioned match to be played.
The Government of Chuquisaca “respectfully requests that you consider holding the Bolivia vs. Peru dated November 19 at the Patria Olympic Stadium. PFor this, we guarantee all conditions required by FIFA to receive the teams and achieve a successful development of the sporting event”, says part of the letter sent this Wednesday to the FBF.
Chuquisaca joins the request also made by the Coordinator of the 6 Cochabamba Tropic Federations, which requested in writing to the FBF that the aforementioned friendly be played at the Villa Tunari Bicentennial Stadium, in the department of Cochabamba.
Versions also began to emerge in the sense that the localía can be inverted with Peru. It means that on November 19 Bolivia would be a visitor in Arequipa and a year later the rematch would be played in Santa Cruz.
The FBF leadership is expected to officially announce this Thursday what will happen to that preparation match for the 2026 World Cup, which will mean the debut of Gustavo Costas as coach of the Green.
