The director of the INE, Iván Ojeda, stated that despite the complaints, the balance of the Census day is positive, since the citizens accompanied the operation in every corner of the Republic.
Ojeda spoke of minimal incidents during the day, among which he mentioned the complaints of families that could not be registered. “It is something typical in the censuses. From this moment we inaugurate the next stage, which is the recovery process”, he indicated.

He explained that this recovery process will take place during these next two weeks along with the Indigenous and Rural Census.
The INE authorities also spoke that the lines of the Call Center 178 are collapsed at this time, reporting most of the complaints in the country’s capital and the Central department.

Ojeda indicated that another of the inconveniences generated in the day is the volunteer desertion, for which a contingency plan had to be activated using Army soldiers.
