More than 27 houses affected by floods in the province of Veraguas

The district of Mariato is once again affected by floods, the residents talk about the current situation they are experiencing.

In preliminary data, the personnel of the National Protection System in the province of Veraguas announced that at the moment there are floods in the district of Mariato due to the rains.

It was detailed that in the community of Loma de Quebro, 13 houses were affected by the introduction of water and there was damage to belongings.
These families stay in the Loma de Quebro school and others in the houses of relatives in higher parts.

In the community of Higueronoso B, 12 dwellings are isolated, these people live in dairy houses.

Similarly, in the community of Furniales they are incommunicado.

In the community of Cocuyo, 3 houses affected by the introduction of water and affectation of belongings.

In the district of Arenas, the staff is trying to enter, since the rivers continue to rise outside their banks.

At the moment they maintain light rains and high tides are expected.
