In the last few hours, the Supreme Court revoked the parliamentary decree that appointed the senator from the Frente de Todos Martín Doñate as representative for the second minority in the Council of the Judiciary, which was criticized by the Government.
The High Court argued that said bench corresponds to the representative of PRO Luis Juez, which was seen as an attack on Kirchnerism. In this sense, the executive power questioned this decision; furthermore, the Government He called the failure “unexplained.”
At a press conference, after concluding the meeting of the cabinet of Government, Juan Manzur assured that “they do not agree” with the pronouncement of the highest court of Justice.
For his part, the Minister of Security, Aníbal Fernández, who was also at the press conference, reinforced what Manzur said and maintained: “There is no reason to explain this ruling, this ruling is inapplicable” by the court.
“The ruling declares the nullity of an administrative act that generated a subjective right in the head of representative Doñate. The reality is that what has been done could not happen, because Doñate did not participate in this discussion, he could have come to work this morning and no one can tell him otherwise because there is nothing to prevent him, he is not part of that discussion ”, he explained.
Then, he added: “On the other hand, there are only a few days left before the expiration of that mandate that theoretically would belong to Luis Juez, with which there is no reason to be able to do so. It would seem that the objective was only an expression in the abstract and the ruling should not say that there is a simulation by the act for more than obvious reasons: because it is getting into the reserved area specifically of the legislators.
Meanwhile, from La Cámpora they demand that President Alberto Fernández rule on the controversial decision, since they assure that this ruling “represents a conflict of interest.”
Criticism of the Front of All
In addition to the statement of Executive powerfrom the Front of All also repudiated the decision of the Court and maintained that it is “inapplicable” and ensure that the High Court seeks to interfere “with the decisions that are made in Congress.”
In a brief press release, the bloc stated that “The ruling is inapplicable because the Court cannot decide or intervene in the formation of the blocs within the Senate.”
