Evacuate five families in Veraguas due to floods

The National Civil Protection System (SINAPROC) reported evacuations in the province of Veraguas after the overflow of two rivers in this area of ​​the country.

The authorities indicated that 5 families were evacuated to a safe place after the overflow of the rivers, in the district of Quebro and Arenas, district of Mariato. We continue in monitoring and surveillance work.

Sinaproc had already issued a preventive Green Alert due to the registration of rainy events in the provinces of Chiriquí, Veraguas, Los Santos, Herrera, Coclé, Panamá, Panamá Oeste, Colón and Darién. We continue surveillance in risk areas of the country.

In addition to the evacuations, they reported damage to businesses and crop areas on the Llano de Piedra de Macaracas and Pesé roads, in the province of Los Santos.
