The record volume is expected to be driven by higher production forecast for soybeans (19.1%), 1st harvest corn (16.8%), herbaceous seed cotton (2%), sorghum (5.7%) and beans 1st harvest (4.9%). Soybeans and 1st harvest corn should also have an increase in harvested area, of 1.2% and 0.9%, respectively.

According to Carlos Barradas, manager of the Systematic Survey of Agricultural Production (LSPA), a survey that forecasts crops, the expected growth for soybeans is due to the recovery of production affected in the summer of 2022 in Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul and Mato Grosso. southern.

At the same time, production declines are estimated for rice (-3.5%), 2nd harvest corn (-0.2%), 2nd harvest beans (-9.5%), 3rd harvest beans (-3.7 %) and wheat (-12.1%).
