President Alberto Fernández will begin this Wednesday a tour of France and Indonesia to participate in the Fifth Edition of the Forum for Peace in Paris and the G-20 Leaders’ Summit in Bali.

Aerolineas Argentinas flight AR1030 will depart at night from the military zone of the Ministro Pistarini International Airport, in Ezeiza.

The President will be accompanied by the First Lady, Fabiola Yáñez; the General Secretaries of the Presidency, Julio Vitobello; of Communication and Press, Gabriela Cerruti, and the Argentine ambassador to the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture (Unesco), Marcela Losardo, reported official sources.

For his part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship, Santiago Cafiero, and the Secretary of International Economic Relations, Cecilia Todesca Bocco, will go to Paris on Thursday from Riyadh, where tomorrow they will participate in the VII Meeting of the Argentine Mixed Commission -Saudi Arabia, spokesmen from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated.

Meanwhile, the Argentine ambassador to the United States, Jorge Argüello, will go from Washington to Paris.

The Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, and the Secretary of the Cabinet of the Chief of Staff, Juan Manuel Olmos, will join the G20 Summit.

The Forum for Peace and the meeting with Macron

with the motto “Ways to Mitigate the Multiple Shocks Facing the World by Fostering a Renewed Multilateralism”, Fernández, in his capacity as President Pro Tempore of CELAC (Community of Latin American and Caribbean States), was invited to the Peace Forum by his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, to make a call for peace and find solutions to the consequences of the invasion Russia to Ukraine through a renewed multilateralism and solidarity, they pointed out from the Presidency.

In addition, both leaders will hold a bilateral meeting, in which the Argentine head of state will highlight the potential of the country as a producer and exporter of food of great importance worldwide, and the decision to develop renewable energies, with great possibilities to produce hydrogen. green, wind and solar energy.

Fernández will also present to Macron the idea of ​​expanding lithium production, of which Argentina is the fourth largest producer in the world of this mineral; in addition to promoting the knowledge-based and pharmaceutical industries.

The President also considers that it is “an ethical obligation” to build a new multilateralism that takes into account the needs and interests of all countries, the sources added.

He will also address the premise that the “voice” of the countries of the global south should be heard, and will propose that it cannot be the developing countries and, among them, those of Latin America, who pay the costs of cooling the economy global.

Likewise, the Argentine president will consider that greater availability and better access to credit by multilateral organizations will be essential to achieve sustainable growth in Latin American countries, the sources added.
