Congresswoman Vivian Olivos (Popular Force) asked the Comptroller to review the appointment in the Ministry of Health (Minsa) of Loly Wider Herrera Lavado, who has ties to the owner of Peru Libre, Vladimir Cerron.
Through an official letter sent to the comptroller nelson shackthe parliamentarian asked to initiate control actions on the appointment of the aforementioned official that was made official this Tuesday.
“I am pleased to address you to greet you cordially and, at the same time, request you to initiate control actions for the appointment of Mr. Loly Wider Herrera Lavado as secretary general in the Ministry of Health according to Ministerial Resolution No. 880-2022/MINSA, published on November 8, 2022″, the document reads.
In this sense, the parliamentarian recalled that Law No. 31419 establishes the provisions that guarantee suitability and establish the minimum requirements and impediments for officials to hold a position in the State.

The Minister of Health, Kelly Portalatinodefended the appointment of Loly Herrera as secretary general of her sector, despite the closeness she has with Vladimir Cerrón.
“The general secretary, Mr. Herrera, has my full support. He is a qualified professional and like any professional within the management and within the team, he is going to work to serve the entire Peruvian people, to close these gaps in public health and if he does not comply, he will have to step aside. In the meantime, he has the support”, he pointed out to the press.
