By means of Decree 1 of January 14, 2022, the Electoral Court (TE), provided that adult ID cards, juvenile ID cards and permanent resident cards for foreigners that are expired will be valid for two more months until March 31 of 2022.
In addition, starting this Monday, the ID Office will extend its hours to the public from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. and on weekends from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the regional offices only for ID renewal.
The TE requested the collaboration of banks, financial entities, and businesses to comply with this provision, which has been adopted as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
