It was an open secret that Always Ready was interested in Real Santa Cruz striker Dorny Romero, but it did not stop surprising that this Tuesday the millionaire club will announce the Dominican as a reinforcement for the next season.
The Closing tournament has not yet concluded and has not been permanently suspended due to social and political conflicts in Boliviabut the Alteño club decided to make public that it reached an agreement both with the player and with Real Santa Cruz.
“Welcome to La Banda @ dornyromero23… Thanks to the purchase management with the leadership of the Real Santa Cruz club, the player will wear our jersey,” reads the social media post by Always Ready.
Rosemary, 24 years old, was the most effective striker for Real Santa Cruz in the Clausura tournament with 12 goals, which allowed him to share third place in the scoring charts with Jonatan Cristaldo from Independiente Petrolero, only behind his Always Ready partner, Marcos Riquelme, who has 19 goals; and Tommy Tobar from Nacional Potosí, who scored 15 goals.
His good campaign in the Santa Cruz team made Romero is called this year to his national team for the games against Belize and French Guiana, in June.
The Caribbean player goes from a team that fought his permanence in the Professional Division to one that will play the Copa Libertadores in 2023.
