Pro established a mechanism for “avoid and control” the escalation of the internal of that space and announced that so far the pre-candidates for president for the 2023 elections are the head of the Buenos Aires Government, Horacio Rodriguez Larretathe national deputy Maria Eugenia Vidal and the head of the party, Patricia Bullrich.
“We ratify the unity of the PRO and Together for Change. We have established a mechanism to coordinate and avoid unnecessary tensions,” said deputy Cristian Ritondo in statements to the press made after a meeting of the small table of the PRO that took place in a central hotel, with the presence of former president Mauricio Macri.
As explained by the head of the PRO bloc in Deputies, at breakfast -which lasted more than two hours- the leaders of the PRO national table -Macri, Bullrich, Rodríguez Larreta, Humberto Schiavoni, Diego Santilli and Vidal- defined ” a mechanism among the pre-candidates so that there is coordination so that these internal things are always discussed beforehand”
Before the press, Ritondo -accompanied by Humberto Schiavoni, PRO bloc leader in the Senate- pointed out: “Our pre-candidates for president are Patricia Bullrich, María Eugenia Vidal and Horacio Rodríguez Larreta.”
Regarding a possible candidacy of former President Macri, Ritondo warned that “he never stated that he wants to be a candidate” and added: “That is something that he will define.”
“We ratify the unity of the PRO and JxC,” added the deputy and, when asked about the video in which Bullrich is seen saying ‘I’m going to break your face’ to the chief of staff from Buenos Aires, Felipe Miguel, Ritondo emphasized: “It established a mechanism to control that.”
“Our challenge is unity with consensus,” said the PRO deputy before leaving the downtown hotel.
Meanwhile, Macri, who was the leader who called the meeting, said when he left the meeting that “it was a very good meeting.”
The meeting took place before a virtual meeting of the national table of Together for Change (JxC) scheduled for this afternoon.
