MP opens investigation against police officers for beating an elderly man

This Monday, the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab ordered to open an investigation against two officers of the Bolivarian National Police who allegedly physically assaulted an elderly man, in a bakery located in the Sucre parish of the Ruperto Lugo sector. .

The fact was recorded in a video that the Prosecutor published on his social networks, in which a bloodied older man and the uniformed men are seen being judged and criticized by those present for assaulting this old man.

To clarify what happened, the Prosecutor put the case at the order of the 83rd Prosecutor’s Office, who will collect all the evidence to charge the officials with cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment.

On more than one occasion, the Attorney General has exhorted the officials of the State security agencies not to incur in abuses or violations of Human Rights.
