congressman Jose Balcazar (Perú Bicentenario) justified the misogynist statements that the president of the Council of Ministers, Hannibal Torresissued against the “Cuarto Poder” journalist Sol Carreño.

The parliamentarian indicated that the comments made by the prime minister form part of an appreciation that he gave to the “heat of the political debates.” However, he recommended that Torres Vásquez rectify himself.

“It is an appreciation in the heat of the political debates that exist. There are opinions that sometimes do not have bad faith, but you have to look within the context and I think there may be excessesbut it must be rectified at the time. I believe that it is necessary to rectify in some cases, as in this one for example. i would recommend that”, he declared in dialogue with Canal N.

In addition, Balcázar Zelada indicated that he notices a decrease in the tension of the current political crisis, for which he asserted that this line must be continued to receive the mission of the Organization of American States (OAS).

“What I am seeing is that we are reaching a moment in which the tension is lowering. In this specific case, it is one of the few that will continue from now on. In Congress we are seeing another type of rapprochement and ongoing dialogue that I think is appropriate to receive the OAS in a climate of more or less peace.”, he stated.
