The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, assured this Monday that in the midst of the attacks that imperialism maintains against Venezuela, he has no morals to ask for democracy in the world.
“They impose their democracy by force of bombs, invasions and assassinations of presidents, they impose their democracies by force of bombs and not votes,” he said during the Party’s press conference.
Likewise, he recalled that the United States ruled this country for centuries and those who tried to put themselves at the forefront of our independence, against their position, ended up “overthrown by a coup d’état or assassinated.”
He recalled that the United States Government has promoted coups in almost all of America. “I think that each country should have four or five coups promoted by them, they don’t know about democracy,” he said and questioned the US electoral system.
In addition, Cabello warned that the International Criminal Court (CPI) acts with political influence and cruelty towards Venezuela, however, “Venezuela has shown that it is at the forefront with the creation and updating of laws,” he said.
He considered that “the United States is going to continue attacking, blocking and persecuting us, we have shown a capacity for resistance that surprises them. It is a resistance in rebellion.
