Tijuana, Guadalajara, Morelia, León and Puebla lead in receiving remittances

Aguascalientes, San Cristóbal de las Casas, Monterrey, Ciudad Juárez and Álvaro Obregón are the other municipalities and mayors that receive more money for this concept.

The average remittances sent by nationals from the United States, mainly, amount to 390 dollars per shipment, according to the Bank of Mexico.

States with the highest percentage growth

Although Jalisco, Michoacán, Guanajuato, the State of Mexico and CDMX are the entities that receive the largest number of remittances in absolute terms, states such as Chiapas, Baja California Sur and Puebla are the states that have shown the greatest growth in the amount sent.
