The instance of the election of the Colorado youth to conform the 19 departmental conventions was fulfilled. It is estimated that some 27,000 young people between 14 and 30 years of age went to the polls.
Within 15 days it will be known which sector received the most votes. At the close of voting, at 8:00 p.m., the ballot boxes were transferred to each departmental city and from there to the Colorado Party House, in Montevideo.
In the department of Colonia there were two lists: the 186 Renovación Colorada of Batllistas Colonia, and the 616 Espiritu Nuevo of the Ciudadanos sector led by Nibia Reisch.
In Nueva Palmira, some 25 young people voted at the table installed in the Nueva Unión Social Center.
