With a conference held at the La Misión hotel, the details of CREA+PY 2022 were presented, the event organized by the Federation of Creative Industries of Paraguay (FIC) and the National Directorate of Intellectual Property (DINAPI) aimed at interested people in meeting and connecting with professionals from the world of film, music, software, video games, robotics, design, fashion, advertising, inventions and many other disciplines.

The launch was attended by Ambassador Estefanía Laterza, Deputy Minister of the Investment and Export Network (REDIEX); Oscar Elizeche,

General Director of Copyright and Related Rights of the

National Directorate of Intellectual Property (DINAPI); Camilo Guanes, president of the

Federation of Creative Industries of Paraguay (FIC); Ricardo Arriola, executive director of the FIC; and Osvaldo Ortiz, general producer of CREA+PY.

The representatives of the institutions involved in the organization explained the details of the second edition of the great celebration of the creative industries of Paraguay, which

will be done on days November 17, 18 and 19 at the Mariscal Convention Center.

More than 100 activities

More than 40 international guests

The creative industries have their sights set on the internationalization of their products and services. In line with this purpose, the CREA+PY 2022 will have more than 40 international guests who will be part of the workshops, laboratories, proposals and debates that were incorporated into the program with the aim of contributing to the enrichment of the attendees, as well as to the expansion of the achievements of the Paraguayan creative industry in the world. In this sense, it has the support of the Investment and Export Network (REDIEX) and was declared of interest by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC).

Among the international guests are Coraly Rosario, Senior UX Designer and Vice President of the Puerto Rico Game Developers Association; Fabiana Renault, academic teacher, designer and developer of Creativity programs for LATAM universities; Shirley McPhaul-Castro, specialist in “cryptogaming” (GameFi), the concept of the “Metaverse” and the philosophical implications of NFTs; Hernán Moyano, filmmaker specializing in films of the horror genre, director of the documentary “Little Babylon” (Nominated for the Silver Condor 2017); Jose Olivares,

specialist in strategic planning and creativity in transmedia environments and academic director of Madrid Content School, among many others.

More spaces for students

In the mornings, the focus It will be in young people from 14 to 18 years old, who will be able to access introductory workshops to the world of cinema, music, video games, robotics, software and design. These workshops will be configured so that the boys and girls know in detail the work that each of these disciplines entails and consider them with criteria for their professional future.

The afternoon activities will be aimed at tertiary education students, as well as those starting to take their first steps in the creative industries, in order to provide them with training and professionalization.

More business rounds: Spaces to bond

In its second edition, CREA+PY expands the round of business and links in alliance with the Association of Entrepreneurs of Paraguay (ASEPY) and the Industrial Union of Paraguay (UIP).

In the business rounds, companies and industries will be able to connect with the offers of services and products and with the bidders: advertisers, audiovisual production companies, sound studios, marketing agencies, software development, applications, industrial design, clothing and many others. other sectors, in order to have at hand everything necessary to promote their brands and companies with the best of the Paraguayan creative industry. In addition, the creative industries themselves will be able to link up to generate new projects.

More music: musical shows every night

Music is one of the hearts of the creative industries. That is why, in addition to the workshops and various activities, there will be music every day from 9 p.m. More than 15 selected bands and musicians will take the stage so that both the public and the festival programmers can feel the strength of new talents and musical projects.
