On Thursday, November 17, Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner will lead an act for Militancy Day, on the occasion of the “50 years since Perón’s return” from exile, at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium in La Plata.

This was announced this Monday by references and members of the Frente de Todos (FdT) through their social networks, where the senator of the province of Buenos Aires, María Teresa García; the Buenos Aires minister Andrés Larroque, and the head of Nuevo Encuentro, Martín Sabbatella, among others, viralized a flyer with the image of Fernández de Kirchner that says “Cristina speaks.”

While, Sources close to the Vice President confirmed to Télam her presence at the event, where, they said, she will be “the only speaker.”

Last Friday, the two-time President participated in an event organized by the Unión Obrera Metalúrgica (UOM) in Pilar, where she spoke for the first time at a public rally after the assassination attempt she suffered on September 1 when she entered her home in the Recoleta neighborhood.

In this regard, the president of the bloc of Buenos Aires senators of the Frente de Todos (FdT), María Teresa García, said on Monday that “it was necessary in our political space for Cristina to appear with her definitions.”

In dialogue with FM La Patriada, García highlighted Fernández de Kirchner’s speech and said that next November 17, when the political act for Militancy Day is held, there will be “more definitions” of the former president.

Meanwhile, the general secretary of the Canillitas Union and Buenos Aires senator of the FdT, Omar Plaini, said about last Friday’s act that “once again the relationship that Cristina has with the working class in particular and with the national and popular field in general” was demonstrated.

November 17 was established as Militancy Day with the return of former President Juan Domingo Perón to the country in 1972, after 17 years of exile, after the 1955 coup.
