In this 2022, the number of weeks that will be required to retire is 800, since each year they will increase by 50 until reaching the limit of 1,000 weeks.
Consar added that the system manages more than 70 million accounts for an amount greater than 5.2 billion pesos, equivalent to 20.5% of Mexico’s GDP.
Last year, the entry of 1.9 million accounts into the system was registered, which meant a growth of 20% compared to 2020. The average balance that workers have in their accounts amounts to 96,437 pesos.
Going forward, Consar said that one of the most important challenges ahead is to reduce commercial spending without affecting the financial and operational performance of the Afores.
The second challenge is to improve the quality of services and strengthen the supply of instruments in which administrators can invest.
Finally, Consar said that it will continue to thoroughly review the regulations to simplify processes and reduce unnecessary regulatory cost.
