MADRID, Spain.- In the early hours of this Tuesday On November 8, a total lunar eclipse can be seen in Cuba, as it will be visible in Asia, Australia and America.

The total lunar eclipse will last one hour and 25 minutes. In penumbra mode, it will be five hours and 52 minutes, and in partial eclipse mode, three hours and 39 minutes.

According to scientists from the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the Moon will appear red/orange, reflecting the light of sunrises and sunsets on Earth. At the peak of the eclipse, the Moon will be 390,653 kilometers from Earth (242,740 miles).
This will be the second total lunar eclipse of 2022. The previous one had occurred last May.
The next phenomenon of this type will occur on March 13, 2025. That same year another will occur on September 7.
In a lunar eclipse, the Earth interposes itself between the Sun and the Moon, casting a shadow on the Moon and obscuring it, totally or partially. When the lunar eclipse is total, an optical effect known as the Red Moon or Blood Moon occurs at the moment of maximum obscuration.
In 2023 and 2024, the Moon will experience either a partial lunar eclipse, when only part of the Moon passes through the umbra, or a very slight penumbral eclipse, when the Moon dips through the outermost layer of Earth’s shadow. Earth, called penumbra.
