This Friday, November 4, took place the Government Council in the presidential Hacienda of Hato Grande located in Sopó. There was made the balance of the first days of the government of Gustavo Petro.

At the meeting there was more than 100 government officials including ministers, deputy ministers and advisers. Also Mauricio Lizcano, director of Dapre, and Germán Gómez, presidential adviser.
Since August 7, the day Petro took office, this is the second meeting of the members of the Executive and the first General Assembly of Government. From 11 in the morning the officials met.
Alfonso Prada, Minister of the Interior and presidential spokesman, stated that it was a day of intense work. He clarified that the senior officials spoke about the National Development Plan and the five axes of the program.
Likewise, he announced that the plan has among its axes human security, dignified life and totally linked to total peace.
He also announced that on November 15 the Development Plan will be delivered to the National Planning Council. On February 7 he will settle in Congress.
From that date until May 7 there will be the possibility of introducing modifications and proposals from the Colombian people.
The Minister of the Interior also said that it is contemplated that there be extra periods in Congress at the beginning of the year for the projects proposed by the Government. “We have two very important projects to discuss before the sessions in March, when the second phase of the ordinary sessions of the first period of the legislature begins,” added the Minister of the Interior.
Prada stated that the day when the Development Plan will be presented they are not in ordinary sessions in Congress, “theor it is more certain that extraordinary sessions will be called”.
The senior official also said that another of the Government’s interests will be to process the General Budget of the Nation that will incorporate the 20 billion pesos that will be processed with the tax reform.
For his part, Mauricio Lizcano wrote on Twitter that at the meeting they reviewed the work agenda, achievements, advances and challenges for the first 100 days of Government that are fulfilled this November 15.

Along with this, he assured that they reviewed the national development plan, in which they had as a route the axes of environmental, social and economic justice they are being implemented.
In the balance they looked at whether the objectives that had been set in the previous meeting were met, which was held on September 30 this year in the same place and with a delay of 6 hours in the arrival of the head of state.
They also discussed the effects and implementation of the reforms that are being processed in Congress. Between them, the tax that was approved on Thursday, November 3.

Prada will be in charge of making the official pronouncements so that the cabinet works together and the messages from the ministries do not generate negative effects on public opinion.
In the coming weeks, the president will have trips to Egypt and France, where he will participate in COP 27 and in the Paris Forum on La Paz.
