The National Road Safety Unit aims to reach 8,000 students between the ages of 3 and 16 and train a minimum of 50 teachers to strengthen knowledge, skills and attitudes that promote the generation of skills in the national transit system. To do this, it will distribute 32,000 copies of driver education in educational centers throughout the national territory, as stated by its president, Alejandro Draper.
The distribution of this educational material will take place through an agreement between Unasev and the Mapfre Foundation, signed this Thursday the 3rd in the Assembly Hall of the Executive Tower. The directors of the aforementioned unit, Carlos Manzor and Mauricio Viera, and the representative of the private entity, Marianne Delgado, participated in the ceremony.
The objective of the agreement is to incorporate road safety into the teaching and learning process of primary and secondary school students. The materials will reach 8,000 students between the ages of 3 and 16 in at least 100 institutions throughout the country, and a minimum of 50 Early Childhood and Primary Education teachers; of first and second cycle of Secondary Education and community agents.
For this purpose, a total of 32,000 copies of educational material will be distributed in different educational centers.
This material is made up of the following publications: The scout goblins (8,000 copies for children from 3 to 5 years old); Travel time (8,000 units for children from 6 to 8 years old); Headlong (8,000 copies for children from 9 to 11 years old) and connect to life (8,000 units for children from 12 to 16 years old).
On the occasion, Draper highlighted the quality of the material and the importance of the theme integrating training within the educational system.
