Medical residents of the City of Buenos Aires reach the eleventh day of unemployment, demanding a salary improvement, after the failure of the negotiations that are carried out with the Buenos Aires Government.
Health professionals have rejected the salary increase proposed by the Ministry of Health of the City, so this Friday the medical residents They will continue with their measure of force, which, as announced, will be for an indefinite period of time.
In this sense, the medical residents They informed that this Friday they will offer a press conference at Plaza de Mayo at 1:00 pm and that next Monday they will tour the hospitals and in the afternoon they will hold health posts in Plaza de Mayo.
For its part, a great march for health is scheduled for Tuesday, which will include the participation of different workers in the sector. It should be remembered that, in the mobilization scheduled for yesterday, the nurses’ union joined, who support the claim of the residents.
“We will make a strike next Tuesday with all the health unions, together with Municipal Doctors, the Federation of Professionals of the GCABA and the Single Union of Workers and Employees of the CABA (Sutecba),” explained the resident of the Penna Hospital, Franco Capon.
Health professionals complete seven weeks in a plan to fight for a salary increase, with a minimum floor of $250,000, as they described the Buenos Aires government’s proposal as “shameful.”
“Today, the residents charge $300 an hour and the attendees $0, doing guard duty for 24 and up to 48 hours in a row. Residents demand a new meeting with the Government
In the midst of the conflict, which reaches its seventh week, health workers they expressed that “The government closed all channels of dialogue with residents and concurrent” for which they demand “that they include us in the negotiation since we are actors involved in the conflict.”
