The group of retired sailors Naval Union, requested the president of the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS), Jan Marten Willen, to authorize the audience of a delegation of retired Peruvian Navy officers with the OAS delegation that will go to Peru at the request of the president peter castle.
Through a letter addressed to Marten Willen in Washington DC, the Naval Union seeks to explain to the OAS delegation that will visit our country, the points of view of the current political situation with the Castillo government.
The delegation would be made up of three retired naval officers “without any partisan political interest” who want Peru to be “a democratic, free and sovereign country, aimed at development.”
As is known, the OAS will send the high-level group that it formed after activating the Inter-American Democratic Charter at the request of President Pedro Castillo on November 21 and 22 of this year, according to Peruvian Foreign Minister César Landa.
