Antonio Ecarri, President of Alianza del Pencil and presidential candidate, presented the plan “My Barrel, Dollarized Oil Income” that seeks to benefit all Venezuelans to make them more productive and thus overcome poverty.
The electoral proposal, according to Ecarri, is to transfer to Venezuelans, directly, the resources of the oil rent.
«We present ‘Mi Barril’ which will allow Venezuelans to receive funds, money directly. This is not a scholarship, it is not a subsidy. It is not the ‘Mi Negra’ card, nor any demagogic proposal; it is the opportunity to give a push to the people with the oil reserves of Venezuela », he asserted.
The “My Barrel” program, according to Ecarri, proposes direct investment in three fundamental areas: Education, Health and Social Security.
“It is about Dollarized Universal Basic Income that reaches people directly for their education, we have denounced ad nauseam what it costs to send a child to school; for their health, so that Venezuelans can have an HCM policy, a medical health policy and that they can activate in any clinic; and for their old age, pensions and retirements, “said the leader.
Antonio Ecarri’s proposal, as reported this Thursday, November 3, is in ECLAC and United Nations projects.
Antonio Ecarri Angola expressed that, given the increase in oil production that could arise in the coming months as a result of the relaxation of international sanctions that currently weigh on the Venezuelan oil industry, the funds suffer the same fate as Monómeros and could fall into the hands of red corruption. “You have to plant the oil in the people,” he said.
Also, the pre-candidate The opposition presidential candidate said that the negotiation “behind the Venezuelans’ back” will lead to the lifting of sanctions, “and we want to know where the reals are, where the reals are going and where those reals are going to be invested.”
In the 2006 presidential campaign, the then opposition candidate, Manuel Rosales, proposed the Mi Negra card to the country, which consisted of a scheme similar to the one announced by Ecarri for the direct allocation to all Venezuelans of benefits from oil revenues.
