Miguel Mendoza turns 500 days without seeing his eight-year-old daughter

Given the refusal of the Ortega justice system for the journalist to see the minor, her family continues to demand that she no longer be denied her right. “-Miguel Mendoza- they have deprived you of all your rights and have not only psychologically tortured you, but also your daughter Alejandra,” their relatives expressed through the sports chronicler’s Facebook account.

They remarked that during his captivity in “El Nuevo Chipote” the dictatorship has not allowed Mendoza “not even to send a drawing. The emotional damage they are doing is cruel and inhumane.”

In the publication on social networks, the relatives of the political prisoner attached an image with the demand that the minor has sustained for months to be allowed to visit him. “Daddy, I need to see you. I love you”, they highlighted.

The journalist and critic of the government of Daniel Ortega was convicted of the crimes of conspiracy to undermine national integrity and propagation of false news. The “evidence” was the posts on his Twitter account. The Ortega justice sentenced him to nine years in prison.

During his confinement, Miguel Mendoza has lost more than 30 pounds in weight and when he was presented in the courts of Managua he was noticeably thin. More than two months ago was the last visit that the dictatorship allowed the relatives of Miguel Mendoza, for which they fear the repercussions on his physical condition. His life partner, Margin Pozo, concluded by demanding that “there be visits and that Alejandra can enter. She is a girl and she has rights».
