Read confirmed he will back Orsi

The former union leader, Richard Read, confirmed that he will support the possible candidacy of the mayor of Canelones Yamandú Orsi, who has not yet defined whether he will run. In addition, he announced that he will launch a new sector that will be officially presented in “February or March”, which will be located in the “center to the left-left” but he did not want to advance more because “the group did not even give birth”. The novelties were known on Monday, at the International Book Fair in the Municipality of Montevideo, where the book “Richard Read, back to back”, written by the journalist Leonardo Haberkorn, was presented. In addition to Orsi, the presentation was attended by the Minister of Public Health, Daniel Salinas, the Secretary of the Presidency, Álvaro Delgado, the president of the PIT-CNT, Marcelo Abdala; and the former Minister of Economy and Finance Fernando Lorenzo, among others.
