Most Colombians remember Natalia Pone de Leon, who was attacked with acid in 2014, for which her face was totally disfigured.
That March 27, Jonathan Vegathrew about a liter of sulfuric acid into the face, arms, leg and half abdomen. From then on, the life of the Bogota woman changed completely.
After undergoing nine surgeries, he gradually improved until he was nationally recognized for being an empowered woman.
However, Natalia Ponce de Leon announced that he launched the comic ‘Kaia: awakening in the deep’. It premiered at the Bogotá International Documentary Exhibition and had a space in ArtBo.
The play is based on the entire tragic story that Ponce had to go through until surviving the aggression of which he was a victim.

“I resonated strongly with the character of the superhero Kaia, realizing that she is someone I would like to bring to life through the creative medium. I have always dreamed of being that superwoman, who spreads awareness about social problems. I am Kaia, and I am sure that it will inspire Colombians to respect to the women of my country”, assured Natalia Ponce de León.
